It's Friday and I...

... did some mid-week shopping! There is no way to express my love for YDE dresses!
... know I look crap in these pics, but when I shop, I mean business. I'm not there to look pretty.
... didn't realise how expensive furniture is, or how much I needed, until now.
... am going to do a whole Vintage theme for my new room.
... am really looking forward to moving into my own house. Two weeks and counting!
... am planning a detox weekend. Loads of sleep, water, gym and lounging around. We need those ever so often.
... haven't been exercising at all the last month, but does anyone else hate gym as much as I do?
... am going to try really hard to go to gym at least twice this weekend. If it rains, then you know I actually went.
... have an upcoming sailor-themed party! The outfits are on their way from JHB.
... am worried about my car. It's making really funny noises after I drove on a gravel road. Damn, like I need this right now.
... feel like a romantic getaway somewhere quiet with spa facilities.
... watched Cake Boss on the Discovery channel and I think it's one big act. Bad acting at that.
... can't wait to see my best friends tonight. We have so much catching up to do!
... am really excited! The music video for Jax Panik I danced in, is out on Monday. I will definitely put it on my blog as soon as I get it.
... am also kinda scared to see the video!
... didn't know a fringe is such high maintenance. Gone are the wash-and-go days.
... crave chicken strips with a cheese sauce. Or wait, chili sauce!
... hate being told what to do, what not to do or how to live my life. I'm having a blast and that is exactly what life is all about.
... know I'm going to tell amazing stories to my grandchildren one day.

It's Friday everyone!! Let's get this weekend started. At last.

Fabulous (French) Find!

It's been a while since a made a fabulous discovery, but I seemed to have come across something really beautiful. If you love all things vintage (or antique if you want), your heart will stop at these French furniture.

French Finds is a family business in Leek, Staffordshire with a base in the Loire Valley region of France. They have over 15 years experience in selling French furniture, antiques and collectibles. Their enthusiastic and dedicated team take great satisfaction from the positive feedback received from their customers. You can be confident that if you are not delighted with your purchase, they offer a full refund.

All of their items have that French flair and are restored to a very high standard which transforms them into the contemporary style which, when carried out sympathetically, is so in vogue at present. It fits in well with the modern eclectic look, highlighting the decorative features and enhancing the craftsmanship of the period. The ultimate in recycling!

They work hard to provide high quality customer service, including assembling items on delivery. If there is an item of French furniture you are searching for, let them know and they will do their best to find it on their travels.

It really is breathtaking and one-of-a-kind pieces which I have fallen in love with. It just screams class and royalty, and who doesn't want that in their homes? These are some of my favourites!

Visit their website for loads of pictures of their furniture, dining tables, chairs, mirrors, beds... you name it. All the details of each piece are listed, including prices and shipping options. So if you can't go to France, you sure as hell can bring a piece of it to you.

What do you think of these antique French furniture? A fabulous find indeed! Why not follow them on Twitter - click here.

It's Friday and I...

\

... am so hooked on all things vintage!
... am calling all gadget-lovers. I have an upcoming giveaway!
... did an interview yesterday about 'Yolandi vs Jemma'. Watch this space!
... am seeing a special person on Sunday and I really can't wait.
... have no parties planned for the weekend. Even a die-hard party animal needs to take a break. *sigh*
... feel like doing a bikini car wash and put it on my blog! Who's with me?
... am going for a much needed pedicure and sunbed session tomorrow. Bring on the pampering!
... really can't believe how light on petrol my Yaris is!
... have been eating so much junk food this week and no gym either! I know, I know.
... am excited to see the results of my lingerie photo shoot. Apparently, not much longer before we all get to see it.
... painted my nails grey again.
... encourage all girls to take up pole-dancing! Not only is it a great workout and teaches you some awesome skills, but it brings out your sexy-side. Trust me.
... would love to move to my own website, but I'm going to need some serious sponsors. *hint hint*

Happy Friday and eid mubarak to all my Muslim readers!
Have a fabulous weekend and have a drink on me.

My Vintage Photo Shoot!

A while ago I won a photo shoot, yes won, but I was really hesitant at going because I'm not a schmodel. But the photographer convinced me in doing a themed photo shoot, so we decided to do a 1950's vintage shoot. I love playing dress-up and getting into character, so that was total fun! I finally got the pics and, even though I'm not totally impressed with the results, I still think the pictures came out nice. Yes, just nice and worth sharing.

So in love with this dress!
This is one of my favourite shots!
This suitcase belonged to my grandmother, so, it's another genuine vintage piece.

These were shot in a Nature Reserve on a Winter's day!
This dress is also a genuine vintage dress, a vintage wedding dress to be precise!

In happier days!
