Sarah Jessica Parker fends off pressures of life by 'not discussing married life'

London, August 4 : Sarah Jessica Parker has revealed that she and her actor husband Matthew Broderick keep the pressures of life at bay by choosing not to discuss their marriage.

“We don’t talk about our marriage a lot, which is probably wise,” the Daily Mail quoted the 46-year-old ‘Sex And The City’ star as admitting to Marie Claire magazine.

“There are so many other things in our lives that take precedence over the splitting of the atom of our marriage,” she added.


Parker and ‘Ferris Bueller’ star Broderick, 49, married in May 1997 and have three children together - James Wilke, 8, and two-year-old twins Tabitha and Marion.

Melbourne, July 6 : Angelina Jolie and Sarah Jessica Parker have topped the list of Hollywood''s highest paid actresses, earning an estimated 30 million dollars this year, according to Forbes magazine.

Forbes''s blogger Dorothy Pomerantz said Jolie''s success stemmed from her ability to handle action, drama and directing.

Her earnings were boosted by films such as ‘Salt’ and ‘The Tourist’, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.

On the other hand, Parker’s big fortune was tied to the success of television and film series ‘Sex and the City’. 

“Parker earns big from reruns of theTV show thanks to her dual role as star and producer, and the second movie, which hit screens in 2010, performed pretty well bringing in a ‘respectable’ US 290 million dollars,” said Pomerantz.

Trailing behind Jolie and Parker is ‘Friends’ star Jennifer Aniston.

Despite her fair share of flop films, she remains a big box-office draw card, estimated to have earned (AUD) 27 million dollars between May 2010 and 2011.
